It's Instagram Day!

Instagram becomes an instant hit once it was established.

Currently, there are more than 100 million active users in Instagram!

And over 5 million photos are uploaded every day!

Isn't that amazing?

Instagram not only represents self-image sharing platforms but also has become a medium for business.

It's like a new kind of Facebook, but in an image form!

Instagram was created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger and launched in October 2010.

Instagram is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

In January 2011, Instagram added hashtags to help users discover both photographs and each other. Instagram encourages users to make tags both specific and relevant, rather than tagging generic words like "photo" in order to make photographs stand out and to attract like-minded Instagrammers.

Instagram was listed among Time's 50 Best Android Applications for 2013.

Happy Instagramming!

It's Web Browser Day!

Today we’re going to take an in-depth look on web browser!

As the internet blooms and smart phones dominates our communication, more and more browsers are created.

But, what is actually a web browser?

According to Webopedia.com, web browser is a software application used to locate, retrieve and also display content on the World Wide Web, including Web pages, images, video and other files.

The major web browsers are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, and Safari.

Do you know the first ever browser??

Historically, the first web browser was invented in 1990 by Sir Tim Berners-Lee. It was called WorldWideWeb and was later renamed Nexus.

Then, in 1993, browser software was further innovated by Marc Andreessen with the release of Mosaic (later Netscape), "the world's first popular browser", which made the World Wide Web system easy to use and more accessible to the average person.

Microsoft responded with its Internet Explorer in 1995, followed by Opera in 1996.

In 1998, Netscape launched Mozilla Firefox - in an attempt to produce a competitive browser using the open source software model.

Then, Apple's Safari was released in January 2003 and become number one Apple-based web browsing.

And in 2008, Google Chrome was released and dominates the web browsing industry.

Cool huh?

So, what’s your favourite web browser?
